Hey, I'm D.J. a creator based out of southern NH!
My passion for photography started when I bought my first camera, a used Sony A65 DSLR. Originally this camera was to replace the camcorder I was using to film car shenanigans with my friends.
One day, I decided to take it with me to A Driven to Cure Car show at UNH to meet Andrew(R.I.P.), and see the DTC Nissan GTR in person. I had no idea how to use the camera, but I shot a bunch of photos that day. If you were expecting some magical ending to that part of the story, sorry, those photos came out terrible. The ones that were in-focus looked extremely green, so naturally I go to YouTube to learn how to fix the photos. I had no idea that one night learning how to make my pictures look "normal" was going to snowball into the create outlet it has... self-produced automotive Short films, wedding photos, portraits, motorsports, as well as just overdoing simple YouTube videos. I spent almost my entire 20's using my camera gear as my escape from reality.
I moved back to southern NH in late 2021, and although I didn't have a clientele here anyway, I temporarily stopped taking on photo/video work to make up for lost time with friends and family. Although some of my gear still hasn't been brought out of retirement, this period was a good reset for me creatively. I got back to using photography as an outlet, which has in turn reignited my passion for it. I started editing everything from scratch, not using any presets or LUTs just because I found it fun. This from scratch approach is how I've found my current "style". aggressive and admittedly sometimes overly-dramatic lighting, and a tastefully thick amount of contrast from a smooth tone curve tend to my signature style at the moment.
Seeing as I'm happier than ever with my style, I want to push myself creatively and make cool things with clients again. Feel free to use the contact/booking section of this website if you want to create something awesome together.
